Lilith et Adalia Spring/Summer 2014 "Petite Antoinette": Debut pt. I

The moment everyone has been waiting for has now arrived! After months of planning, fabric and trim hunting, fabric hauling, sewing mercilessly, photography, and heavy promotion and building of anticipation all over our social media sites (and among friends and family!) we at Lilith et Adalia are finally ready to present to all our fans and followers the completed garment line of Petite Antoinette Spring/Summer 2014! (Read our initial inspiration post here!)

Consisting of twelve stunning dresses, all one-of-a-kind, and handmade over the past few months by your two young designers, Aria and Jennifer. We placed all our hard work and effort into the creation of these pieces. Every dress is fully lined with soft poly taffeta, and fluffed with either honeycomb mesh crinoline or poly organza. Some have zippers, some buttons, some with full elastic. We used a variety of fabrics, such as printed and textured cottons, silk shantung, taffeta, organza, satin, and lightweight silks. Each dress also features a trim in a variety of techniques and types from self fabric to satin and grosgrain ribbon, ribbon rosettes, and lace!

Our official Etsy Shop Debut will be Monday, March 24th! Mark the date! Remember, there is only ONE of each dress available, so once it's gone, that's it! We can only do custom on a case-by-case basis that has not been finalized.

Coming soon we will also feature accessories made with the help of our fellow team member, Kim (also the artist of Lil Dauphine!) More details on that later!

So without further ado, here is Part I of our big reveal! Six of our Twelve glorious dresses.

Cotton Clip Dot Chemise Dress with Lilac Organza Sash

Inspired by Marie Antoinette's infamous Chemise dresses, our Vienna dress is comfortable, airy, and simple. Made of a lightweight clip dot cotton, its sure to be an effortless wear. A lilac organza sash brightens her up nicely. The front bodice is gathered for an added touch. There is also the beautiful ruffle details on the neckline and sleeves. The sleeves are a modest elbow length. The back closure utilizes purple pearlized plastic buttons. This dress will do nicely for formal occasions as well as more casual carefree ones.

Green Striped Seersucker Dress with Ivory Taffeta Sash and Embroidered Lace Neckline

Seersucker: classic, vintage, and comfortable. Our Adrianna de Riviere seersucker dress features an embroidered lace neckline, ivory silk taffeta sash, and matching covered buttons at the back. Perfect for a garden walk, picnic, or tea party! Dressed up or dressed down, this will make the perfect addition to your child's wardrobe.

Powder Blue Shantung and White Striped Cotton Mock Two Piece Dress

We just adore this silhouette and we hope you do too! The Bernadette dress features a mock two-piece look: It's all one dress! The bodice is made of powder blue shantung, adorned with ruffles, a faux button placket with self fabric covered buttons, and a matching bow. The skirt is a crisp white striped seersucker, perfect for the warm weather. The straps are elastic, creating a beautiful ruffle effect.

This would make a lovely dress for an elegant boat outing followed by a lakeside picnic! That's what we imagined when we designed this dress. Top it off with a straw hat and you're little one is ready!

The back waist is fully elasticated for ease of wear and size versatility, an innovation we will definitely utilize going forward!

Blue Silk Shantung Dress with Burgundy Sash and Ruffle Bodice Detail

Our beautiful blue shantung dress, Leandre la Reine, with burgundy satin pleated sash and waist ties. This dress features an exquisite ruching ruffled detail on the front bodice, inspired by a costume worn by Kirsten Dunst as Marie Antoinette in the 2006 Sofia Coppola film. With puffed elastic raglan sleeves, it is an easy wear. It's a simple yet elegant silhouette perfect for any formal occasion.

Peach Striped Shantung Dress with Rosette and Ruffle Details

One of our more delicate pieces, this Peach Silk Shantung dress is definitely for your most formal occasions. With its lovely ruffle attributes, and tonal rosette ribbon trim, it's elegant and refined. Inspired by various dresses from the Rococo Era of France in the 18th century, and named after a pivotal character in the famous anime/manga Rose of Versailles by Ryoko Ikeda, it exudes aristocratic flair.
Treat this dress with great care to ensure it's lasting beauty. This is meant to serve as an heirloom once it's gotten its fair bit of wear.

Lilac Floral Print Cotton Dress with Shantung Belted Sash and Satin Ties

Regal yet wonderfully sweet, our Petite Dubarry dress is sure to keep all eyes on your adorable little one. With off-white organza flutter sleeves, stunning belt buckle, and not to mention the beautiful lilac floral printed cotton, it's simply beautiful. This dress also features a "faux button" waist tie. The button however is non-functional and only serves for a stylistic touch. Perfect for a garden walk, picnic, or tea party!

Excited yet? Because we sure are! We put all our greatest effort into creating these stunning pieces for you all. Since they are handmade, and not factory made, expect some minor imperfections. Doing this was a great learning experience for us, and going forward, the dresses will be more and more perfect every time. We appreciate your support of our work!

Easter this year is April 20th! Order soon if you want to receive our dresses in time for Easter!
